Re: PSX serial
Rather than relying on the colours use a multimeter to check the connections. Set it to continuity mode to check the colours to the pins. Is ground definitely ground? I have around 20 cables from the same manufacturer and they are all different. I have used many ftdi/prolific/siliconlabs/atmega solu...

Re: SN Systems Win32 Debugger Parallel Port Dongle Crack
The yaroze isn't customised at all, other than its region free. If you have he access card and original boot CD I it will work on any standard PSX. The access card is he same as an early memory card, but with no flash memory on the PCB. The MCU is programmed differently. Someone on another site ran ...

Re: PSX with Component cable.
I have something pretty similar to that, but I would be sceptical of the seller listing that one as "official". The unit I have plugs into the AV port and also takes its power from the memory card slot. The picture quality isn't great but the main problem is the refresh rate. Most TFT moni...

I'll give this a go at the weekend. Just fancied giving it a try then when your psx USB tool gets sorted I might have a smaller machine to try it on too.

Re: Adding PIO to a PSOne
That is the way the VCD cards for the PSone and 900x series work and to they manage to pump video, so can't see why an AR cart would be any more problematic

Adding PIO to a PSOne
I have an AR cart with a broken connector that otherwise worked fine. Anyone any ideas on how easy it would be to wire this into a PSOne internally? Most of the data and address signals used are available on the BIOS ROM like the VCD internal cards used. I did give this a go a few years ago and neve...

Re: PSX Serial Cable
I take PayPal or bank transfer. Can ship to US or Canada no problem at all. Price for the standard PSXSERIAL cable to US/Canada would be 15.50UKP including shipping by Airmail (typically around 5 days) Payment by PayPal is as a gift or add 3percent to cover fees. Drop me a PM if you want to order one.

Could I please try the beta? I have a GT2 save I could really do with backing up and don't want to have to set up my desktop just to plug in an xplorer. Cheers

Re: PSX Serial Cable
Just a quick update. Sold a few of these now and they work very well. They are currently priced at 13.50UKP including postage to most of Europe. I have a prototype siocons cable which looks the same as above but works very well with the yaroze environment in dosbox. These will be available from next...

The person I have on alibaba is getting back to me with a price for 24. Looking around £40 ish delivered.
So when I get them I'll see about selling on the leftovers if anyone else wants any?
EDIT: 24 units ordered. Hopefully should be here in a week or two.

@Trimesh - Cheers, I have since found a company via Alibaba called Winsource that have them @$1.87ea plus $20 for freight shipping to UK.
@Amidog - Not sure, I wonder if the difference between the 00 and 04 is in the model number.

Re: MSX Emulator for Playstation
I remember trying this year's ago, don't think there is sound.
There us a simple tool that comes with it to convert a mix ROM to a H file. You then compile it with the yaroze SDK.
To use it on a grey psx or emulator use HITMENS combine to combine it with libps.

Re: I mode cable/software
looks like the game I have has anti-mod protection.. bollocks.
I will have to open my never used SCPH-1002 and disk swap as I havent as yet figured out how to write what the hell I like to the memory card/joypad SIO port.

Re: PSX Serial Cable
The above solution does not work with SIOCONS, as it is not wired for handshaking. I intend to make one for SIOCONS which would be more expensive as I would need to either.. a) retrofit the RTS/CTS and DTR/DSR pins to the above and add 7400 series to invert handshaking, more time and would involve d...
