Re: SOS how to make a serial cosomolink usb
The PSone serial internal is 3.3v I believe. The whole MAX232 or other voltage convertion method is done purely on the assumption your going to connect to a true RS232 computer connector. If you going to use a PC or laptop that doesnt come with a serial port then you may just buy a USB serial conver...

Re: problem converting .rom to .exe
and what ROMprod how to use it? is it a good idea to waste a CDR? or epsxe ca will suffice? Short answer, no good idea to waste a CDR. ROMprod is if I understand it correctly, made to convert a PS-EXE to a rom file for your Gamehunter. So you can run a EXE from the card instead from CD or serial ca...

Re: SOS how to make a serial cosomolink usb
for most PSOne: http://www.psxdev.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=62&t=365 others I dont know for sure, but pretty similiar. find the pins, or use the SIO connector. I dint use a Max232 converter, cause I used my USB serial adapter in 3.3v mode, RX, TX and gnd where enough. You might want those other ...

Re: problem converting .rom to .exe
I see, again why you asked for a rom to exe program. but now we know wich (and what type) rom. You want to start Caetla or alike just like a normal PS-EXE. Short answer for what I know sofar, no, not posible. Unless: 1, a PS-EXE equivelent cheat entering program already excists 2. someone could make...

Re: problem converting .rom to .exe
Aw, I see you have asked multiple times on this forum about these kind of questions. I dont know why, but ive searched arround a bit. http://darius-saturn.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=305&t=5981#p166448 So your gamehunter seems to have 1Mbit of rom space by default, that is why you only flashed Uni...

Re: problem converting .rom to .exe
What is the point of this post. You want a tool to convert a ROM file to a PS-EXE? yes if I understand you correctly, you have a "cheatdevice" and want to put a rom file on it, and you believe you need to make it into a PS-EXE to do so? This Romfile is "firmware' for the cheatdevice....

Re: SOS to convert the AR code so that it works under caetla
You mean you have trouble getting Action replay cheat codes to work a caetla card? I never tried those codes but is there maybe some gameshark <> actionreplay conversion required? actualy, dont think so, after I read: https://gaming.stackexchange.com/questions/76858/how-do-gameshark-codes-work ... I...

Re: Newcomer - Information Required
trow away all these 3d ideas for now. put em in a freezer if you will. Can you program in C or Cpp ? there is a section with examples: http://www.psxdev.net/forum/viewforum.php?f=40 you should check some out, and setup a dev system with tools and compile a few examples. [EDIT] I dont want to seem li...

Re: Compiling RUNIX (PSXLinux)
I agree, tho I might try the memorycard way first. there is multicard support if I can make 1 card work (I think ext2 is fine for the test, if I have a choise). Including a initramfs with the kernel would be even smart, make it run and see for availeble storage devices later is a must have almost.(I...

Re: Compiling RUNIX (PSXLinux)
yours is slightly larger and I see you compiled it from a root folder: /PSXLinux/... while CyrusDevX had the path /home/kostya/kernel/PSXLinux/... It might not be too important, but it wont hurt me to try the same thing. I know its posible on x86 to include a small initram fs with the kernel, but im...

Re: Compiling RUNIX (PSXLinux)
Time for me to try again, how did you convert the resulting kernel file into an ecoff file or how did you transfer the kernel to the PS1 ? I would love to try reverseing the memorycard code (or write new one, cause it looks like its kinda lost) For experience I tried this: http://mgalgs.github.io/20...
