Re: Cheat file for Caetla/Xplorer/etc
Awesome thank you. I managed to get CAETLA .38 flashed on there but I don't have any codes. What do I do in order to get codes on there now?

Re: Cheat file for Caetla/Xplorer/etc
Anything?
I'm doing this on a Dell Optiplex 760. I'm not having much luck. It just hangs no matter what I do.

Re: Cheat file for Caetla/Xplorer/etc
OK. I bit the bullet and installed XP on an older machine I had sitting here but for the life of me I can't get it to work. It gets as far as looking for the device in CAEFLASH but that's it. Right now I'm using the command:
CAEFLASH -P10 -T -XT
It just sits there.

Re: Alternative to action replay COMMs card?
Ok. So I have a caetla flashed action replay. From what you wrote I can plug directly into the parallel port on the pc and send from there. Is that correct? This is mainly to send cheat codes.

Alternative to action replay COMMs card?
Is there a diagram or something that shows how to use a regular parallel port with an action replay? Isn't there something that you have to do in order to reduce the voltages?

Re: Cheat file for Caetla/Xplorer/etc
I see, but are there files for Japan/US/EU floating around or would I have to just DL a whole mess of codes and stick them into a file?

Cheat file for Caetla/Xplorer/etc
Is there a place I can get a cheat file to update my Xplorer with new codes? I haven't fired this thing up since 1997 and I'd love to get it going again.

Blaze Xploder question
I was given one of these way back in 1997 at E3. I was wondering about the hardware in it. One of the Devs mentioned that it could be plugged directly into the parallel port of a PC but I'm too nervous to try that. Does anyone have experience with these things?

Re: Audio problems on original Japanese PSX
They are...I went ahead and got another unit for the princely sum of $15 working. Now I just have to solder in a mod chip. I might take you up on it likeabuaus though, since this is one of the original PSX units from Japan.
What do you do to repair anyway?

Re: Audio problems on original Japanese PSX
When I start the unit is when it is having problems. I would think that it is all audio, however, when it plays a video, it is significantly lessened like in RE3. I made a video here:

Audio problems on original Japanese PSX
I dusted off the PSX in anticipation of getting a PSIO, when I plug it in, there is some awful audio coming from the thing, through the audio ports on the back. This is one of the very original units, bought in Japan in 1995 slightly after release. It has a mod chip in it. Any suggestions? I opened ...
