Re: [Hardware Mod] NTSC/PAL reference oscillator mod for PU-

AFAIK, RGB is RGB. There is no NTSC/PAL war there. See this: http://www.analog.com/en/audiovideo-products/video-encoders/ad725/products/product.html And this: http://www.eecg.toronto.edu/~tm3/ad722.pdf RGB to component: http://www.linear.com/solutions/1311 So in general... yeah, shouldn't be any dif...

Was looking more something like this:

But now I figured I can just change the clock (cristal), the IC does supports async.

Re: 240v on SCPH-1000 Power supply?

The fuse is rated until 250V and 2A. Nothing anormal to see here, it only means it will not blow up out of nothing until >250V. About the "swap", if the pin out (or output) is 100% same, then you can do it just fine. I would test it with a multimeter before hand just to be sure. Now if you...

Very nice mod and simple, but it would be useful to report which SCPH models has (or uses) a PU-18 ?

Re: Xplorer FX and X-Flash: Black Screens

in caetla the :circle button is for validate the selection, and the :cross is for cancel. it's confusing, as in the games we are used to use :cross for validation and :circle for cancel. It's because the guy that developed Caetla was Japanese, and that's the convention they use in the Japanese game...

Is 5501 BIOS still missing?

Otherwise it would be great to have the 1st page with status updated.

Re: PS1 RGB/S-Video cable/output type questions

X-RGB3 makes wonder.

Can upscaling PSX to 1080p w/o any problem (with HDMI output), directly from true RGB signals.

They have XRGB mini now, but with less control/options for video processing.

Re: PS1 RGB/S-Video cable/output type questions

Well, maybe I'll just buy different kind of cables and see, what's the best for my TV. There seems to be better options for HDMI and S-Video cable settings, so maybe S-Video would be worth of try. And my RGB-cable tends to have some sort of sync issues, when I start the machine, picture comes and t...

What's the point in changing the BIOS ?

I can understand if it were an old BIOS, then trying something newer (up-to-date), but not the inverse.
