Re: NO$PSX V2.1 Released (20th Aug 2022)
Which files are that? I've looked at Ape Escape and Wild Arms 2, they have several files with "SShd" at offset 2Ch. The "SShd" string does also occur in Omega Boost. Do you mean those files? And do you have more info on the file format? Yes those are the ones. I don't really hav...

Re: NO$PSX V2.1 Released (20th Aug 2022)
There's a sequenced audio format used in various 1999+ games where Sony was involved either as developer or publisher: Alundra 2, Ape Escape, Arc the Lad 3, Koukidou Gensou - Gunparade March, PoPoLoCrois Monogatari II, The Legend of Dragoon, Wild Arms 2. I've made PSF rips for some of them in the pa...

Re: NO$PSX V2.1 Released (20th Aug 2022)
For PBP, some programmers try to rev-engineer it but it's half failure. Why? because it works on the native built-in PSX emulator of PSP like how an official PSN eboot works, failure because they don't know what type of compression is used in audio and video. They don't know if it's lossy or lossle...

Re: NO$PSX V2.1 Released (20th Aug 2022)
Many thanks for this update and glad to see you back, amazing work as always ! :) On the other hand i can't get any game to boot when using any retail bios with this release (2.0 is fine). It won't pass the first white Sony boot screen unless using the Bios intro skipping option or the BIOS clone in...

Re: Stealth Unlocker ~ Plug n Play MOD
Yes Stealth Unlocker is working just fine with my PAL consoles . Was pointing to alexfree that Tonyhax International 1.07 fails for the anti modchip patch. Sorry for the confusion and going off topic. Thanks both for your work and permission to add your roms to Unirom's romset collection. :)

Re: Stealth Unlocker ~ Plug n Play MOD
Would you be interested in adding the Tonyhax International ROM as well? Was suggesting the idea to Sickle a few days ago but wasn't sure where to reach you for that (forum itself or via discord). So if that's ok with you , i'll update the romset with Tonyhax International aswell and will forward i...

Works just fine with my PAL consoles and the games previously mentionned !
Would you be ok with your rom being added to Unirom's disc ?

Re: Stealth Unlocker ~ Plug n Play MOD
And I look forward to hearing your results. Please include whatever model numbers you try it on. Successfully working with my PAL consoles: 1002 (v2.2e), custom 1002 (v4.1e bios swap), 7002 (v4.1e), 7502 (v4.1e). On the other hand those (original discs) still trigger the antimodchip protection but ...

Re: Stealth Unlocker ~ Plug n Play MOD
I went with 256KB because I believe most GameShark cartridges are that size EEPROM. V2 AR/GS cartridges are 256k, V1 AR/GS and most clone cartridges are 128k so you may just stick with a 128k rom that would fit on basically anything you'd flash it on. :) Nice project, i'll give it a try later this ...

Re: About Game Shark roms
Oh well i'm no expert, just a fan of those devices.
As for restoring your GameShark, download and burn latest Unirom disc then boot it on your console.
Install -> Restore Cheat Cartridge -> Datel Roms should cover your needs.

Re: Extract .SEQ from European GT1 (Jason Page)
Hi guys, i really love the music of GT1 and i want to extract the .SEQ of this game and convert on .PSF :D ! Hi, I know this request is quite old now but better late than never. I've been working on that game among other ones last month and have a WIP Minipsf set for both the Japanese and internati...

Re: Xplorer carts
Hi, Sorry for the late reply. X-killer is an old close source tool from 1999, see attached files. I don't really have any technical knowledge regarding the cheat DB management/encryption. Maybe you could try reversing X-killer itself if that could bring some answer ? In the meantime, i could get and...

Re: Xplorer carts
Ah thanks for confirming it came from an Atmel based device ! You won't need to ask the donator who provided the Winbond based device you dumped the 4.55 from. Since i already verified the issue with such carts, i guess that validates it's a similar issue like with the German r4.50 PRO 1999-10-25 ro...

Re: Xplorer carts
I checked your dumps and could get 2.006 and 4.55 roms to work just fine with my devices. On the other hand, 3.18 hangs on a black screen past the Blaze logo. My Xplorer FX Pro and X-Terminator Pro DX have a Winbond W29C040P-90 512K eeprom. So i tried flashing my own 3.18 dump to and the same happen...

Re: Xplorer carts
Thank you very much for the dumps, i'll check them when i get free time. :) 2. There are user-added cheats found in the last 128KB section, too. I'm not entirely sure about this. Since original .fcd only cover the first 384Kb area for the rom program/cheat db, isn't the last 128Kb chunk reserved for...

Re: Xplorer carts
And I can confirm the v3.18 one is completely new and untouched in the package. As I just did its dumping 2 or 3 weeks ago. For the other two, I'm not sure if there is no user-added code in them. I dumped them just for backing up, as I borrowed those two carts from one of my friends for checking th...

Re: Xplorer carts
The tail of last 128KB of X-Terminator Pro DX(JP) stores header data and should be dumped if possible. I noticed almost all dumps here missed that. Hi, This header data isn't part of original .fcd files . It's created at first boot and/or while accessing the VMS function for the very first time. Th...
