Ha, true, I don't know why ask.
I mentioned that a few days ago :
anyway, I might try again with an old mingw gcc build.
Thanks again

Re: MinGW32 compiled GCC 7.2.0 Toolchain (mipsel-unknown-elf)
Here's a download of the GNU GCC 7.2.0 Toolchain and Binutils 2.29.1 compiled using MinGW32 for 32-bit Windows hosts. Thanks for this, I'll have to try it out! And +1 for a yaroze (ecoff) build. Maybe upload your PSX toolchain configs or source tree to github or a zipfile etc? I could look at it an...

Re: Blade Libs + MIPSGCC + Jum SDK
I haven't discarded PSXSDK!!! lol I actually downloaded your repo and compiled it with the old psxsdk/msy compiler at the start of the week. A bit busy at the moment doing a few things, but I'm looking forward to looking into it more. Saying that the blade 3D coding looks really impressive to me.. i...

Re: Recompile Yaroze Source
Yeah, that's not the reason why I gave up, but this: So, I guess this is the process: Compile an old 1999-2000 toolchain; then with that, Compile the mips-ecoff NY toolchain    You can only build a toolchain with a compatible toolchain, so that would be a nightmare just figuring tha...

Re: Simple (?) question about Parallel I/O

I believe you are correct.
If you have an ISA slot and a comms card any action replay will work.. but
Alternatively, you can solder a serial to USB cable to the PSONE , danhans42 the man!
It mentions Net Yaroze, but I'm sure it's SERIALPSX compatible?

Re: 32/64 bit compatible yaroze set up or alternatives
No success, I tried building a few things, gcc, djgpp and even siocons, but no luck... all over my head :( I use linux and windows via virtualbox (winXP) but serial didn't work via VB so had to use dosbox in linux. Not sure how the binaries would go in a 64bit windows, If you're PC doesn't have seri...

The Net Yaroze of today - Nintendo 3DS
If anyone is looking for something like the "Net Yaroze of today", it's the Nintendo 3DS for sure! http://developer.nintendo.com/ https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DlrNnTaU0AAVXn8.jpg ---- Any console development isn't for noobs, and PSXDEV is a lot easier then 3DS ---- [/u][/b] In many ways it'...

Cool, strange 'bug', thanks for the info!
Hopefully I'll have time to look at it in some detail next week.

Re: SERIOUS TOPIC : What about a full tutorial ?
Actually, I KNOW how to make game (I made a frickin' 2 players Chess), but what I want to learn, is PS1 programming, because it's fun. And I will do it, even if you think it's too hard "for me". It can take time, but I will be able to create games on the PS1 one day. Thanks for "all ...

Well, I finished it and it was a success! :dance :clap I used the sticker/old end So I used Dan's table with the correct colours: PSX Sticker/old end 1 – green .....-> CTS 2 – purple ....-> GND 3 – orange....-> DSR 4 – grey .......-> RTS 5 – brown .....-> RXD 6 – blue ........-> DTR 7 â€...

hi Guys So its been a long time, having played with yaroze long ago. Hello again, fellow Net Yarozee! :clap :dance As you know I looked into updating the Net Yaroze toolchain in 2016 and failed :crying Siocons only worked in dosbox for me (I couldn't get Virtual Box serial working either) and for w...

Re: SIOCONS compatible USB Cable
Hi again :) So this is how I figured out my wiring. First, I cut the cable in two equal pieces, I didn't bother testing them before cutting, too much hassle and the test below is plenty proof they work! Next figure out which end is 1 and which is 8, ie from http://www.psxdev.net/forum/viewtopic.php?...

Stupid question, but reverting the inverting (ie not applying the invert), would it then be compatible with PSXSERIAL?

Blade Libs + MIPSGCC + Jum SDK
Continuing from http://www.psxdev.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=62&t=1630 I didn't want to take that thread so off topic, The Blade libs were way before the PSXSDK. They are very old. Off the top of my head, I think Rob Withey coded them in the mid-nineties. People would usually use "Blade Libs...

IMO, If you're a noob, it's a waist of time going through Pro code, it's too big and complex, but it's interesting to see how the they did things, back then anyway.

Re: SERIOUS TOPIC : What about a full tutorial ?
I get you're first language isn't English, but there's not much anybody can do to help. I know Xavi is in Barcelona, maybe he can 'parla catala' with you? But he uses PSXSDK, which is nice for 2D (opensourced Net Yaroze 2D SDK) But a FULL tutorial, what you're asking for is very very rare! It's here...
