Re: PSX Blaster (USB Comms Link)

of course, we plan made apps/tools for win-32 for working with this device. i had idea also add sd card slot for expanding space for apps, saves, and maybe virtual drive, but actually it cant be emu for games, only for developing program. my point is using simple flash-rom for boot up, and more bigg...

Re: PSone BIOS modding project

bios is sourced by 3.3v. )) but in some cases AR used 5v flash IC. it gets from 7.5v from parralel-io through down dc/dc converter

Re: Wondering about CD drive data

theoretycally we can make signal similar mod-chip does... making image of game from 2x cd-drive to psio (SD/HDD) TAKES much time... maybe if y plug cd-dvd drive and sd/hdd in the same time you can do it faster.. but need to use notebook drives better. cause using 5.25 drives need 12v additinaly .

Re: PSone BIOS modding project

better keep them up. kernel code init system and HW in correct way and setup default exeption handling mechanism.

i,m not sure - but with changing code of the orig bios we can hurt check sum. and AR-like method is better way for update logo/intro/managers.

Re: PSone BIOS modding project

why y need update original bios , searching and disasming are wasting your of time... my point is: you can make your own menu (psx-exe like) with the same pics (ripped) of background or even better!, then compile it from 80030000 start addres, and put it to 18000 to the new bios (without header 0x80...

Re: PSone BIOS modding project

if you know where is this location in ram, it can be calculated to bios . as i said bios code copy shell data to ram from bfc18000 -> 80030000 x - address you got (in ram) y - address you need (in bios) ofs = x - 0x30000 y = 0x18000 + ofs or just : y = x - 0x18000 this is what you need, isn't it?

Re: PSone BIOS modding project

the code in the bios calls SHELL and it loading and execiting at point ExecuteShell();

so shell code is located in bfc18000 in bios and then copy to ram 0x8003000.
in some sites i saw grabbed shell as ps-wxw file.
