Re: PSX Thingy
I'll start wiring the ROM on the parallel port here soon, been busy with random stuff but I managed to build (another) serial cable for net yaroze support specifically. just need this = http://www.ebay.com/itm/FT232RL-3-3V-5-5V-FTDI-USB-to-TTL-Serial-Adapter-Module-for-Arduino-Mini-Port-/12175205689...

Re: Datel's VMEM Addon (other questions too)
the 60x15 blocks is the 15 blocks of a std memory card, with the details from datel on the vmem stating it can emulate 60* card slots. which I can testify the bios menu shows 60 slots to unload and load virtual memory cards.. and yes the other hardware is a n64gspro which I salvaged for more chips.

PSX Thingy
Can the psx use a pin per pin matching parallel flash ic on the address and data lines on the pio port, with ce rd wr too? Also meaning not using a gal logic chip like in the xploder carts. Does the psx auto map the new chip and would be able to boot unirom forexample? http://i.imgur.com/wb8UoAy.jp...

Re: PS2linux hosting PSXSDK with USBSIO
I'll look into getting the right compilers for runix. I've also looked into building their special expansion card for usb. I'm working on building my g2bus to PATA hdd board on my dreamcast atm.

Re: [7501] SIMM EDO RAM Upgrade?
Is there and better information, pictures etc, on the cpu pinout and single dram ic pinout or similar?; or im going to have to manually figure this pin mapping? Also: 8MB will certainly work, since that's basically what the mod I did to the PU-18 was, and the PU-22 uses the same CPU. The basic requi...

sickle, its working flawless on my vmem, 0.44, much more stable on my stripped vmem board. 128kb, with just unirom + plugin firmware. thanks bud.
oh and im having top logo area rendering skews and just blue up there. idk its been this way from the start. might be cuz of my stripped down vmem.

Re: [7501] SIMM EDO RAM Upgrade?
As far as I recall, the PSX BIOS isn't setup to look for 16 MB of RAM, but only 8 MB. Yes the PSX can handle 16 MB, but you'll need to modify the BIOS for starters. 8MB will certainly work, since that's basically what the mod I did to the PU-18 was, and the PU-22 uses the same CPU. Re: GamePad SPI vs The World
I started over with a cpld cuz i figured doing all the hardware "static" allows me to use almost all control directly from the ps1; xc2c64a is the xilinx chip im using. its got enough to handle the ps1's gameport and breakout into a std spi master bus to handle multiple spi devices at once...
