Re: Stealth Unlocker ~ Plug n Play MOD

Stealth Unlocker works with SCPH-7500 but that Cartridge you have may not. Some of the Cheat Cartridges use regular EPROMs and cannot be reprogrammed via the console.

Re: Stealth Unlocker ~ Plug n Play MOD

hmm adding PAL/NTSC selector or the button combo usually on cheat carts (L1+R1+Sel) or remove libcrypt (PAL) & action replay (NTSC) protection. Really, I don't know if you enable maybe it will not be Stealthy Plug and Play modchip as like before. Anyways I really appreciate your hardwork thanks...

Re: Stealth Unlocker ~ Plug n Play MOD

The ROM can be trimmed to 128KB if you need it to be. The actual size of the ROM data is very small. I thought we had options for 128k and 256k on the CD installer options. The anti-mod patches as I said, we'd be looking at additional Japanese titles and maybe PAL titles but PAL titles are complicat...

Re: XMPlay Example + Tools

Correct the CPU has to tell the SPU what to do, it can't play a sequence on it's own. I wish I had something to add, but I haven't yet messed around with sequenced music, only standard CD audio.

Re: Stealth Unlocker ~ Plug n Play MOD

Good day. Any updates or news about Stealth Unlocker? Nothing new at this time. I'm not sure that there is a lot to add to it at this point. I don't think there is much functionality to be added outside of more anti-piracy protection patches for PAL and JP releases. Was there something you think wo...

Re: Spyro Year Of The Dragon USA's Infamous Anti-Piracy Detection Destroyed In 2023 By GameShark Codes Thanks To MottZil

I have a Protection Fix for Spyro YotD USA Rev0 and Rev1 on my webpage. It doesn't modify the executable at all. My loader runs which then loads the game. When the anti-piracy routine is about to run it skips past it. It uses COP0 functionality so the executable will pass all checksum anti-tamper te...

Re: Stealth Unlocker ~ Plug n Play MOD

Would like to ask I have scph-5500 jap console, do i need to use swap trick while blocking the lid sensor on multidisc games like or how do i swap in the middle game asking disc 2 on my jap console? thanks very much. Re: MCTOOL - PS1 Installer for TonyHax or FreePSXBoot+TonyHax

For FreePSXBoot installs it actually does some stuff oddly to load everything into memory at once. But yeah in the future perhaps it'll be more dynamic.

Re: MCTOOL - PS1 Installer for TonyHax or FreePSXBoot+TonyHax

I just haven't gotten around to it yet. Alexfree has been very actively working on TonyHax, so that has me delaying updating since I imagine as soon as I update it, he'll have another update for TonyHax. Updating the SPL if you're using a save game would be easy for me to update, but if you're using...

Heya, I've been away from psx scene for a while, anyways here's a new no$psx & psxspx update. ... I tried out version 2.1 and when using an original Sony BIOS without the Skip BIOS Intro option, the BIOS is getting stuck on the White Screen for some reason. The TTY debug window with CDROM comma...

Re: Can a modchip/custom BIOS theoretically report Game ID to a Memcard Pro?

Why can't your execute your code from a CD-R or serial upload? Or you could use a program to serial upload your program to a GameShark cartridge.

But it seems premature if you don't have an actual MemCardPro to test with yet.

Re: Can a modchip/custom BIOS theoretically report Game ID to a Memcard Pro?

Good luck getting it working. I was asked by some to see if I could support it in Stealth Unlocker. I'm willing to add support for it but it seemed overly complicated at the time, and not having the real hardware to test with made it pointless to even attempt. Well that and ofcourse no emulator can ...

Build mistake/oversight. You can safely cut it to 128KB and it will work just fine.

Thanks masterg0r0. I'm happy to hear it's working well for you.

Re: Stealth Unlocker ~ Plug n Play MOD

I have attached version 220921 to the first post. This new version has many game specific protection patches for Japanese and Asian consoles that boot via swapping. Here is a list of the protected games supported via patches: Protected Games with Patches: * Cool Boarders 2001 (Usa) * Crash Bash (Usa...

I think he means he wants to dump the chip he pulled that was failing to boot the console, probably so he can verify that the BIOS chip is bad.

RGB video cables get around all that. Composite and S-Video use either the NTSC or PAL standard, but RGB is RGB either way. Then all that matters is that your display can sync to the refresh rate.

Technically it could be possible to support LibCrypt games with additional patches. Maybe if there were PAL exclusive LibCrypt titles it might make sense.
