Re: Reverse Engineering the PSX Copy Protection (Wobble Groove)

Isn't the wobble groove's track fixed-size in every disc?

Re: Reverse Engineering the PSX Copy Protection (Wobble Groove)

A crazy idea came to me last night, sorry if it has already been discussed and dismissed, but... would it be possible to recreate the wobble groove in a printed circular hologram, to be applied like an adhesive to the cd's TOC area?

Wipeout 2097 disc format

I remember this game for having a bizarre disc layout, in fact when inserted in a PC drive you coud see the audio tracks as .wav files, which is strange because they could be read also as a normal audio cd, so nominally a mixed mode (data+cd audio), so how could it be possible to see the audio track...

BIOS transplant from Debugging Station (DTL-H1000) to consumer PSX

Hello, would it be possible to transplant the DTL-H1000 BIOS to a consumer PSX?
If I read correctly the DTL-H1000 could read mastered discs and did not enforce region lock.
So would there be advantages for the consumer user?
Thanks for any information.
