Re: [Hardware Mod] NTSC/PAL reference oscillator mod for PU-18

There is a mistake on this, the RF choke and resistor are the wrong way around on the "parts to install" picture for top of PU8, you want RF choke on the power pin and the resistor on the clock out.

Re: Problem connecting my PS1 to a crt tv with scart rgb cable

are you sure it supports RGBs. SCART often only supports composite / S video

I've got a Loewe with 2 scart inputs and only one supports RGB.

Re: PlayStation PAL Series Colour/Color Modification (PAL60)

Also for completeness DFO only outputs PAL and NTSC GPU clocks, this is fine for older models (sub carriers derived from these freq's) but PU22+ with a DFO only fixes the GPU frequency for scalers. It won't correct the sub carrier. You may as well cut the track, separate the 2 clock input pins to th...

Re: PlayStation PAL Series Colour/Color Modification (PAL60)

I first did this mod more than half a lifetime ago! I had an SCPH7502 as a teenager. Original documents suggest only a link wire and no pin lift.. I still remember getting my old crow kit to install in the mail! and having to patch games (it may have being a newer stealth chip, and I opted for less ...

Re: [Hardware Mod] NTSC/PAL reference oscillator mod for PU-18

The large 5v crystals are available and work perfect with 3.3v (well ~3.6), the SMD ones on the PSX work fine at 5v too. https://github.com/L10N37/PSXTAL I have multiple versions of region free PSX PCB, 2 physical crystals for up to PU20 SI5351 version (one clock output, programmed on the fly during...

Open source IGR and wireless dual XTAL switch

https://github.com/L10N37/PSXTAL Thought I may as well share this You can swith between true PAL 50hz and NTSC 60hz on SCPH1002 / SCPH5502 By holding L1 + R1 + circle for about 4 seconds It also offers short and long pulse in game reset It's for Arduino nano (I use 168P clones for this so far) The J...

Re: New modchip full stealth, single wire BIOS patch PM41

https://github.com/L10N37/tehUberChip_A ... /PIC12F675

Now ported my PM41 UBER-D-D chip to raw assembly for PIC 12F675
This is with a single wire BIOS patch, and like my PU22/PU23 version, no gate wire required. One I/O Pin left to spare.

Re: PSNee V8 - Ultimate PSX unlocker

Good work on the chip! I'm currently porting a new modchip across to PIC in ASM and just an idea I used to disable my modchip Check the drive lid status on power on as oppose to installing an actual switch. This way, you only need to boot the console with the lid open, then close it and you have rem...

New modchip full stealth, single wire BIOS patch PM41

I've made a new 4 wire stealth No WFCK/ Gate wire for PU22 / PU23/ PM41 Full stealth on testing so far, stops spamming injection string at the perfect time Just finishing up a single wire BIOS patch, I've had 5/6 perfect boots everytime on a variety of NTSC games https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fKqG...

That would have been awesoome, but unfortunately doesn't seem to work. Tried both genuine and aftermarket cards. It also have a character limit of 8 which some exceed but still fails on the ones less than 8 characters long.

Re: TonyHax Boot CD is TonyHax without the Hax, Tony, and memory card or specific game requirements

I think what we need most is a TonyHax CD that lets us select the hacked save-game that we want to use and writes it to the memory card. To load it we would just need to do the swap trick one time, and let it make a TonyHax memory card. This could be possible but you'd have to have a memory card wi...

Re: TonyHax Boot CD is TonyHax without the Hax, Tony, and memory card or specific game requirements

just use unirom and stop messing about swapping discs I don’t have a cheat device, and I bought this console specifically to do the CD player swap trick method which stops the disc when you swap. Now if I swap this boot cd I have no TOC incompatibilities and CD Audio works. Why would I buy anythi...
