Re: PSNee V8 - Ultimate PSX unlocker

"Before flashing the MCU, you need to configure the fuses.",How? I'm not do this, and PSNee V8(my arduino nano)is also do well in my scph-7000(pu-20 board). Will work until you press the reset button on the console. Flashing fuses is needed for correct operation of reset on Japanese BIOS. ...

PSNee V8 - Ultimate PSX unlocker

Hi guys! I want to share with you a new project of a chip mod. The first stealth modchip supporting unlocking BIOS of Japanese versions Sony PlayStation 1 http://www.emu-land.net/forum/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=85934.0;attach=239658;image This project was developed by brill & postal2201 (m...

Re: PSNee further development

rama3 , I meant to replace the built-in functions with direct control of ports, and macros. Do not give up on Arduino. On the contrary, the use of Attiny limits the project.

Re: PSNee further development

Hi guys! :) PSNee V7 turned out great firmware, but still not ideal ;) I described a little, my vision of the new version - PSNee V8 PSNeeV8_concept.jpg • Automatic selection of the region at the first start. (At the first launch, the chip determines after which sequence the SCEx console loads the...

Re: PSNee further development

I think these are involved in IC706. But this custom chip, datasheet is only in general terms.
There is a lot of information on the components of PU-18 with datasheets. There are also descriptions of the pin assignments of the microcircuits.

Re: PSNee further development

rama3, I found some information in the datasheets:
CEI - Center error amplifier input.
CEO - Center error amplifier output.

Re: PSNee further development

And one more interesting scheme. An unknown chip uses BCKO instead of WFCK.

It seems this chip uses patching BIOS, but does not have the stealth mode.
It will be necessary to check with the logical analyzer what happens at these points.

Re: PSNee further development

Maybe that DA07 switches at the same frequency as WFCK? Perhaps the frequencies are similar, but not the same. PsNeeV7 works very unstably with DA07. WFCK is the best choice for PsNeeV7 for all revisions of the motherboard of the PS. As for OneChip, I'm not sure, perhaps with PM-41 (2) it's better ...

Re: PSNee further development

With WFCK a strange story ... Most of the chips that I came across are using WFCK as a GATE. But for some reason, for the PM-41 (2), the DA07 point was used as the GATE. Maybe the pirates made a mistake making a chart. Since the point works on most chips, the error is not noticed. But PsNeeV7 requir...

rama3 wrote: March 5th, 2018, 11:31 pm Definitely a nice PAL PSOne solution. Is it okay to use your picture in guides?

Also, you seem to be using unusual points for Data and WFCK (I can't remember off-hand which the normal ones are).
Yes, of course you can use it.

Yes. One point under the chip.

Re: PSNee further development

rama3, this is an interesting way. :)
I'll try to do it in my spare time.
But I do not see the need to further develop ATTYNee, since PsNeeV7 is a great firmware. ;)

Re: PSNee further development

Which part is it? I really liked the SCEX "decoder"! :) Yes, SCEx decoder is my work. :D Original algorithm of PsNeeV6 spent a lot of resources RAM. And my main task was to ensure compatibility with ATTINY13A, so I had to optimize all the algorithms. As a result, the compiled firmware for...

Re: PSNee further development

Hi guys! I see you used parts of my unfinished ATTYNee firmware :)
I am glad that the works were not wasted!

Tell me, is V7 tested with ATmega168?

Sorry for my English.
