Re: UniROM V6 - New stuff and things.
@vxbinaca Aaah, I knew that games as Kurushi! Can you post the exact .ISO somewhere and I'll take a wee look at it? Watch your PMs in the next day.. I'll include a Bin/Cue so you can reproduce the game on your end. My original, Kurushi Final, isn't working. I'd be willing to buy you a copy if it ca...

Re: UniROM V6 - New stuff and things.
Thanks Sickle, However the latest UniROM isn't booting my physical copy of IQ Final, but it reliably boots X-Flash. v.44 would boot it unreliably, but v6 isn't booting it at all. I'll keep trying different versions to see what works. Thanks again, and I'll use your instructions to create a master im...

Re: UniROM V6 - New stuff and things.
Two quick questions:
- How do I alter that disc image that comes with UniROM releases to add firmwares to it?
- I have an older computer with a all the legacy ports on them. Could I just make a VM of Windows 98 and flash the cart directly without having to burn a disc?

Re: UniROM V6 - New stuff and things.
Thanks for updating the code, can't wait to flash it onto a new Gameshark Pro and try it out.

Re: UniROM 0.44 - Bugfixes, woo!
There is still some use for UniROM and X-Flash, examples: - Restoring or upgrading cheating devices - Easy, quick, cheap testing of import discs w/o modification - Upgrading the EEPROM, if modified to expand the supported chips Gamesharks couls be upgraded to Pro units. - If I have to travel I'd rat...

Re: UniROM 0.44 - Bugfixes, woo!
SickleBrick,
Why not put the code up for UniROM onto github? Has anyone decompiled xflash or gotten ahold of the devs to see if they'll release it's code?

Re: UniROM 0.44 - Bugfixes, woo!
The Gameshark units that use SST chips can have their EEPROMs upgraded to the 512k model by chipquiking off the stock eeprom, installing a socket and then dropping in the larger eeprom. Gamesharks had a lot of design revisions (I've seen cap bodges among other things), and different eeproms. For tho...

Re: UniROM 0.44 - Bugfixes, woo!
Siicklebrick, This mod is awesome. I can take GS and turn it into a PAR or xplorer. Or vice versa, or if the eeprom is large enough Caetla/Unirom. I bought a bunch of bricked GS's and, although I couldn't save most I got a few to boot reliably (the rest need eeprom replacements). Will you for the ne...
