Quick follow up,
I had to do a few corrections to the #include paths, and rename 'colorpreview.cpp' to 'ColorPreview.cpp' for it to build. The corrections and a pre-built 64bit linux binary are available here :

Re: SMXTOOL - SMX and RSD model data editor
Hi, Can It be compiled in Linux ? If so, could you tell me how ? I clonde the git repo, and have everything ready to compile, but when trying 'make', I get : "make" -f nbproject/Makefile-Debug.mk QMAKE= SUBPROJECTS= .build-conf make[1]: Entering directory '/home/$USER/build/smxtool' "...

Re: Cel-shaded TMD Rendering Example (plus low-level GTE stuff)
Studying this example right now. Here is the modified makefile I came up with, based on yours LameGuy64, in order to compile in Linux : Be mindful that you may have to change the paths in the following script. # Run this makefile in GNU/Linux. WORKING_DIR = TMDCEL #16-bits DOS exes run in Dosbox RSD...

[WTB]Half a link cable (scph-1040)
Hi,
I'm looking for half a link cable for the PSX, as I'm looking to hack a PSXserial-USB cable together but dont want to sacrifice a complete working cable for that. Shipping to france.
Would consider buying full link cable or ready made USB-Serial cable if available.
Thanks !

Re: Question regarding "shaders" on Psx ( TR2 )
I realize only now I never replied to thank you all for your answers, so there you go with a four years delay... For those still curious, I rewrote the article in english and included the above speculations with credits of course ( tell me if I forgot someone ). I actually had a chance to confirm si...

I read about PSn00bSDK not long ago and actually managed to compile it yesterday , looks real nice !
So that's two PSX SDKs on my Linux system now... Guess the logic thing to do would be to try to setup Psy-Q for the sake it...

Cloudflare and https issues
Hi, I saw there were some issues with cloudflare for some other users so maybe a thread to diagnose this would be useful ? I get a lot of cloudflare screens, sometime just refreshing the page or browsing a thread. I also noticed that the site is sometimes messed up ( images and CSS not loading ) whe...

Re: PSn00bSDK - Open Source PS1 SDK That Doesn't Suck
Who ! I compiled it from master and it works almost flawlessly on Manjaro Linux ( Arch derivative ). I have one issue and a few suggestions/corrections : - All examples run fine in ePSXe, except your demo. It loads fine, but black screens even after a few seconds... all others graphics examples work...

Informations on libblade / bladeps ?
Hi, I'm working on some articles about PSX dev, and in the process of translating an Italian how-to by Bemipefe about how to setup a Linux install to be able to compile some programs for the PSX. The original article is here : http://www.mandrakeitalia.org/guide/guide/programmare-la-playstation-con-...

Re: Question regarding "shaders" on Psx ( TR2 )
Well, no luck tracking down the programmers. I've read some interviews, but mainly they were proud of lighting effects and Lara's ponytail... Also, I've not checked the Android port for this effect...would be interesting to know... As for the effect, it is actually used on every blade trap in the ga...

Re: Question regarding "shaders" on Psx ( TR2 )
Well, I had a chance to look at the fb with pSX (thanks Shadow!) :
Nothing much to see here... the textures are the one you can see when you rip a TR2 level file.
If it was a pre-rendered env mapping, it would appear in the fb, right ?

Re: Question regarding "shaders" on Psx ( TR2 )
Well, still no luck with no$psx. This iso is the only one that seems to work, the others hang after game menu.
The beta iso opens in no$psx, but does not contain the effect.
I guess I'll have to wait till I can get access to my psx+cheap xplorer knock off in order to view the FB...

Ok, will try that
As for No$Psx, it bugs me about "invalid data in .cue file" when trying to open this particular iso so I can't view the FB...
Any other tool I can use for this ?

Re: Question regarding "shaders" on Psx ( TR2 )
I realize the Psx is old hardware and has no shader language, but I think this might be a homemade reflection engine of some sort. I remembered that you can actually see this effect in the first level of the game, just after Lara went through all sorts of moving spiked walls. You end up in a room wi...

Hi, Thanks for your answers. Although the gif doesn't reflect that, the "reflection" is in real-time, as you can see the environment moving in it. You can see it in this video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&list=PLJbGLUxEAvq_P6bMXbye8_lb6Qd5Lsct3&v=QI09mT...

Question regarding "shaders" on Psx ( TR2 )
Hi there, I realize this might not be the right place to ask this kind of question but seeing as there seems to be quite a lot of Psx gurus here, I figured I might get some intersting informations in regards to my question. So here it is ; I noticed in the Tomb Raider II game on PSX that some kind o...
