Re: SCPH-102 - Weird video problem

Ok, I've tried burning a PAL copy of Spyro and booting it up. It seems to work fine when it boots.

Re: SCPH-102 - Weird video problem

Unfortunately, I haven't got any games to try out, but the problem persists all the time, even before the Sony logo comes up on the screen (when I push the Power button, there is a jumpy and colorful portion of the screen on the bottom, it takes up around a third of the screen, it's almost like stat...

Re: SCPH-102 - Weird video problem

Composite (AV). Just using a standard PlayStation multi-out cable.

Re: SCPH-102 - Weird video problem

The card is labelled on its RF shield as a PAL/SECAM card, and as I noted, the PS2 plugged into the same card works just fine (it's also a PAL console). I live in Europe, so I'm sure I can't have an NTSC capture card. I come to the conclusion that the faulty side is either the computer, or the captu...

Re: SCPH-102 - Weird video problem

Thank you for answering, Shadow.

I'm actually using DScaler right now for this, but I'll try VirtualDub. As I previously noted, I'm really confused that my PS2 works fine and the PSOne shows problems.

*EDIT* Nope, selecting PAL-I didn't work. It's still the same.

SCPH-102 - Weird video problem

Hi, Got a PSOne (SCPH-102) with a modchip for cheap. Along with a loose DC jack (which I'm just working on right now along with writing the post) there is a weird problem which started to happen today. A week ago, I plugged it in to my TV set. The video signal was just fine, nothing weird or suspici...

Waiting function

So, I'm doing a homebrew game using the PSY-Q SDK. Is there a way to wait (sleep) for some time, without using the VSync way? I want to have frames that are redrawing in a while loop, and in the meantime wait for a period of time and jump to another part of the program, since VSync won't work, becau...

Re: Beta PS1 BIOS startup?

But again, why is there no reverb throughout the entire BIOS? Why is the fadeout slower and why is there no PS sound? I don't think the disk can contain a fullscreen image...

It all looks post-edited so I think it's fake too.

Beta PS1 BIOS startup?

Hi forums, I've recently started to research the PS1 and its software. While crawling on YouTube, I found this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vRThYTSy6s4 It looks kinda real, but the question is: Is this a startup screen from a beta console, a development console or even a retail console? Th...
